Gabrielle's 10th Birthday

We started off the day by waiting for the chopper to get us back home... We had just returned from Australia.

Then, after school, there is no better way to celebrate your 10th birthday than to have Hot Stone at the Lupe with all of your 4th grade class!

Green Island

There we were, just minding our own business, sitting at the pool. Up walks a gal from the marketing team for Green Island, a tourist destination spot while in Cairns. Ms. K proceded to ask us, the kids, me, and friends of ours from KK, if we would be interested in being "extras" in a commercial/promotional advertising for their company. 

So we thought about it for a few minutes and then said sure!  After all it was an all expense paid days worth of entertainment. In Australia, that is huge!  Especially when you are looking at around $600 for the six of us!!

Enchanted Forest Ball

It's amazing, how in the middle of the jungle, things get done!  Saturday night, the Lupah Lelah was transformed in to a magical wonderland forest. Our grubby mining men were transformed in to handsome princes and all the ladies became beautiful princesses!

And the clock struck twelve and all the fair ladies and all the fair men returned home to their palaces...

Now back to the real world of dirty mining clothes for the guys and sneakers and t-shirts for the ladies...
