Germany: Churches

Hello! This is Mersades.  After we landed in Frankfurt, we went to Frankfurt's old town and visited some of the churches. It was super cool.

This is a picture of me with the Dreikonig church in the background. We didn't go inside that church.

This is the Dom St. Bartholomaus (St. Bartholomew Cathedral), also known as Kaiserdom. This cathedral was used for the coronation of German kings from 1356, and of the Holy Roman Emperors from 1562.
This is just one of the very many carvings and paintings in the church.
There was this massive pipe organ that took up almost one whole wing of the church.

This church is the Alte Nikolaikirche (Church of St. Nicholas). It was consecrated in 1290. Unfortunately, we only got pictures of the inside of the church on the big camera, so we can't put them on the blog.

And that is the end of our first day in Germany.

God bless,
Mersades and Robin
