Only 2nd Place

I am so behind on blogs!!  I really need to get my stuff together and get caught up...  So here I go...

Once again, my bother took mercy on me and allowed me to play on his golf team for the Big Cup Gold Tournament this year...

Last year, we won the tournament!!  Yippee!!  This year, we only placed 2nd!😩. I'm just going to say right now, I was not the weak link! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it! 🤷‍♀️)  My putting was outstanding!  I even won the longest putt on hole #5 with 32.5 feet!!  That was after Stuie drove the green!! We eagled it! 😁

Anyway... If we can't win, we may as well look good. 😉
Once again, as with most everything this summer, this years team just looked a little bit different...  Thankfully my Uncle was healthy this year!!

A precious memory.  The tournament, last year, was the last time I golfed with dad.

If you want to see last years blog post, click HERE 😌

AND THEN....

A guy on the other team, who we were golfing the rounds with, hit a HOLE IN ONE!!  I had never seen that happen before!  So awesome for him!

Now, someday I would love to hit a hole in one...  This guy, this guy hit his THIRD!! Awesome stuff!  Congratulations to you Brian!

Once again, it was a great fun day of golfing.  I really hope Q1 takes mercy on me next year and lets me play again with him. 😉. Love you Quincy!😁

First Day of School 2018

... Only three weeks late!

They were soooo busy... 😉

Gav and Gab are standing by a plaque that was made in memory of my dad.  The plaque is a permanent resident outside one of the English classrooms, in the new high school building, at Dalat. Can I just say here that that is quite funny!!  Those of you who know how well my children speak that language will laugh!  I do...😉 It's quite ironic.... I'm just going to chalk it up to hearing English spoken in a hundred different languages. lol!

Special stuff! ☺️

If Marz ever gets me a "first day of school" photo, it will go
(here)

She actually started her Sophomore year of college today!  Only three years left of dependence on mom and dad! Yahoo!! 😁

Dad Teaching The Boys....

I have been waiting to post this video, that Ted reminded me of, after dad died.  I had forgotten all about it but Ted found it on my iPad.  I would have posted it a few months ago (Ted asked me not to while he was doing all the paperwork for the Army)... it's already been three months... but Ted has "never" smoked before.... 😂

Enjoy the video.  It's short, but it's such a great memory. ☺️

Sending Him Off

This is the day you raise your kids for... For them to be able to go out in the world and be productive members of society. For them to go and live their dream. Teddy’s dream, since he was able to walk and talk, was to be an Army Ranger. Today he took a big step toward making that happen. It’s a very bittersweet, emotional day.

We left Ted at the recruiter’s station earlier today where he hopped in a van to be taken to Sioux Falls. Tomorrow he will catch a plane to Ft. Benning, Georgia, and start his basic training. He will let us know tomorrow when he arrives at the base, but then no contact will happen until he graduates basic. I hope the weeks go by fast...😉

Pictures before the goodbyes.

Teddy Bear,
We are so proud of you!  God bless you and keep you safe, mind, body, and spirit. Go with God and do His Will and the rest will fall into place.
❤️U Always!

PS. I’m hoping to get an “after” picture...  this was the hairy before everything is shaved pic. I sure do hope they leave those eyebrows alone!!😂
