Cologne Cathedral

Hello! This is Mersades again. Today we went on a day trip to Cologne. One of the main attractions there was the Kolner Dom (Cologne Cathedral). We spent most of our time there and it was amazing. Here are some pictures.

This church is huge. You really just don't know how big it is until you see it with your own eyes.

And then there was the main attraction in the cathedral: the Shrine of the Magi. Supposedly the bones of the Three Wise Men are in there.

After we went inside the church, we decided to take a little climb to the observation deck at 319 feet above the ground. It took forever to climb the almost thousand stairs to the top of the tower.

Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures we can use on the blog from the top of the tower. But, we do have pictures of the bell tower we stopped at.

After we finished the hike, we went the the Cologne Cathedral Treasury. We weren't allowed to take pictures, so I will take pictures of the brochure.

And that was the Cologne Cathedral. It was extremely cool. Pictures really don't do it justice.
