Echo Beach

Last night we took a drive about 20 minutes from where we are staying to go have dinner on the beach with our friends from Tembagapura. It was beautiful!

Pimp My Ride!

While in Bali, you can get a driver to drive you anywhere you want all day for a very low price. The more you get him to drive you around, the cheaper the price gets. So one night after we were done eating at a restaurant, Wayan gave us a ride home. That's when the love affair began with his car. :D All week now, we have been chauffeured around in the most decked out car in Bali! I know you are jealous!! :D

Feet and Fish

When we were in Singapore, the kids and Chris discovered they loved to have their feet eaten by fish! In Bali, there is a fish spa on every corner. So once again they all submerged their feet in the fish tanks and enjoyed some fish therapy. I do not partake in this, my feet are too ticklish!

Chris and his "Mate"

Here is Chris with his good friend, or as they say in Australia, "Mate", and the kids. Chris and Mick work together. They like to make fun of each others countries. Two pm everyday starts the debate on whose country is better.... Well duh! We all know that the USA is the greatest! :D

Cream Bath

Gavin and Mersades opted for the cream bath. A cream bath is a massage of the head, shoulders, arms, neck, and back. Again for the sweet price of $10! This is my favorite! And guess what, I am up next!!! :D

A Little Bit Of Relaxation

When an hour massage only cost approximately $10 USD you have to splurge once in a a while. :)

Our Bali Villa!

Here are a few photos of our "digs" in Bali. We got here yesterday, the kids changed into their swimsuits, and were in the pool for about five hours! Today is surf lessons for the whole family... We will see what happens.... :)

Chief Iwannabeoneofthem!

My mom wanted me to add new pictures to the blog so she wouldn't have to look at the snake anymore. So here you go, mom. No more snakes. Just a guy modeling his new hat! :) PS Just be glad it wasn't a picture of him modeling the rest of the outfit! ;). Can anyone say gourd? Ha Ha Ha!

Hati-Hati!

Or translated into the English language.... Caution! or Be Careful!!
A friend of ours found this little number up the street from us and came and got Chris to take care of it. We were not sure if it was poisonous or not, so Chris took it across the street and asked some worker guys if it was. The all took a step back and said HATI-HATI!! We took that as a "YES"!
Chris was going to chuck it over the fence, but because we have the "HoChiMin" trail behind our house, I told him it would be better if we buried it.  Better to be safe than to have someone step on it.  And because of our snake training from watching all those Discovery snake shows, snakes are still venomous after they are dead!
It is also very much uncommon to find snakes up this high.  It is too cold for them, and there is no food for them up here.  If a snake is found up here, it is usually because they hitched a ride up on one of the supply trucks.  It is the first that I have seen in over a year of living here.  Hopefully it will be my last!!! :)

Still very much disliking snakes,
Robin

Sorry for the lack of blogging. not much has been happening here except school, work, and of course playing for me. ;) So I thought I would share my latest creation with you. I made this for a friend who celebrated her last birthday in the jungle. Next year she will be in Africa! Enjoy!
