This is a day the Indonesians celebrate the woman who brought educational freedoms to the Indonesian women.
A couple, who works with Chris, gifted me with this traditional sarong and sash. It is red and black with gold metal thread woven into the design. You have to roll it up when not in use because folding it will damage the gold metal. It is probably the most beautiful gift I have received here.
Yes mom, I am wearing a "dress"! ;)

7.2 Earthquake!
This afternoon, as I was sitting at the table of a friends house, the house just started to shake!! I have felt an earthquake before but not this strong and not for this long!
The photos below are from an "earthquake" app on my phone. The blue dot is where we live on the map. The red and yellow circles are where the quakes hit. The other two pictures are the time, distance, and magnitude of the quakes.
Thank goodness there are not many people who live in that remote area of Papua! :)
