Mersades Golden Birthday!

I guess I forgot to post that Mersades turned 14 on the 14th of September!!! Since we were leaving the next day for Australia, she just had her girl classmates out for hot stone at the Lupe. :).

Balinese Dancing

Last night Mersades and her Middle School classmates, did a dance as part of an opening act for an Indo pop start, who came to Tembag to celebrate Independence Day!  It was a great show and something the community needed.  We don't have these venues very often.

Here was the pop group after the girls performed.  I can't remember their name though.... If I figure it out I will update the blog... :)

It was a great night and I wish I would have done better planning, I would have liked to have stayed the whole night!  But we had kids in three different directions last night.... Oh well, I guess that's life... :)

Farewell My Friend

It will eventually happen to all of us... well at least I hope so! .... we all leave Tembagapura sooner or later. A week ago, one of my special friends moved on. John and June were so good for our family and for the community! We will miss them so much! Best wishes and God Bless my friend! xoxo

Independence Day Fun

Independence day for Indonesia was August 17th. Because another celebration was going on at that time, they rescheduled the fun for today. This was one of the competitions at the celebration. A team of four guys used each other to climb a pole which was full of grease. One team finally made it to the top and won all the prizes! Good for them! It looked hard! :)
